I have one wisdom tooth peaking out on the left, bottom corner of my mouth.
It never hurt.
I didn't even know it was there until a camera was stuck under my tongue.
At bed time I lay on my right side, then my left side, and then back on my right side.
My mouth is usually dry and I kick my feet under the sheets.
I close my eyes and recount the number of times you stroked my hair.

my (left) wisdom tooth is peaking out too! it doesn't hurt, but im not sure if i should ignore it or not...
Wisdom teeth. Ack. Mine came in straight, but they said my mouth was too small, and they yanked all four anyway. The Vicodin was bliss, but apparently the laughing gas during the procedure made me tell long-winded stories in Spanish. Some weird kind of xenoglossy.
Such a horrible situation back then. It turns my stomach. The U.S. meddling in Latin America has always been a problem, even when our involvement has only been tangential. It makes me ashamed.
Anyway, I'm glad you want to get back into poetry! Let me know if you want book recommendations, or if you'd like me to lend you something. We should get coffee one of these days, chat.
