This year had me sink deep into the nerves of a devil.
I have reflected and written my goals.
Times will get better.

Holy Guacamole. Tomorrow is New Year's Eve.
Not to be too much of a downer, but I'd say these photos sum up my year quite well.

hair and scarves became soaked last night
gagging the cold between the step you paced

I couldn't give you my throat
but you used teeth for a dainty memory of mine
introduced a night before
this time with a more elaborate plot

this single bed we both slept in
maybe it did us a bit of good
maybe those cold eggs we didn't eat
came after the chicken feathers and hot tar

I want to play with you
and sleep in a double bed

Dear Sasha,

Thanks for sending your photographs. I am surprised that you are inspired by my work. I am a realist and you are a conceptualist.. we are very different. Even though we are so different, I like your work a lot. Keep it up and follow your hopes and dreams.

Fondly,
Mary Ellen Mark

...A conceptualist eh?

A stab at stop-motion, nothing special.
94 photos for that 8 sec. clip.
...
I got accepted to UArts with a nice merit scholarship, YEE!

I revert back to black, white, and every shade in between during the cold days

1. Knitting- I have finished a purple hood/hat and a really big/long gray scarf in the past 10 days. I started yet another scarf for my Aunt, and then Jiyun, you get your hat. One of the most warmest evenings I have had was knitting in Jules house last Thursday, next to a fire, roasting marshmellows and sipping peppermint tea. It was almost sickly how sweet it was.
2. The spice with the sip of Chai tea and the warmth of baked apples.
3. Floating around the photo room for little trips to Ambler and New Hope.

4. I'm still listening to this man every day:

NICK CAVE

5. Being done with college junk, with the exception of shcolarship work.
6. Tyler's new building on Temple's main campus. Gah, just breathtaking.
7. Very nice one to one convos with many teachers.
-Things that have been making me smile with glee

My portfolio reveiw for both UArts and Tyler went beyond well; I was told I am accepted to both on the spot.

Hey, dad, please look where I am.
Mum, I wish you could be here to celebrate with me.
My uncle is proud and I really feel it this time.

I am proud of myself, and I want you to know that.

I have had to deal with a lot. I have accomplished a lot.

I am proud of myself.

For Sasha
Mary Ellen Mark
I was daring and gave her my card during her book signing! She wrote me her email address! A message will be exchanged in 2 weeks!
The whole thing was too inspiring.
As she showed photos from her Extraordinary Child series, you could only hear Mary's breath on the mic in the room.

You can find me in the same position a year later.
I cried in class today. It was out of nowhere, but made sense.
And I wanted to lay face down in the leaves walking home.

Happy Birthday mum.
I talked to a Rabbi today; she was sweet and interested and ate a flower
(Nothing at all to do with the spider webs above really)
