BAIT Presents "First Time" November 2nd, 2013
"For our first show, the members of BAIT each invited an outside artist into their bedrooms as an exploration of intimacy. What does it mean to show someone your room for the first time? How do you inhabit someone else's space? And how does the exchange deepen our understanding of each other?"

Around 6AM I awoke from a whiskey/Marquis de Sade/Carl Jung induced
dream. It was one of the more entertaining dreams I've had in a while.
In an airport I guided myself through poor children with venomous
lizards and snakes, who beyond what I deemed to be unfortunate and in a
sense pitied, were in a constant cackle at my body slowly moving over
the reptiles amongst the floor as a bath of humility washed over me. I
found myself in single booth in a long row of booths (as if in a single
stall in a row of bathroom stalls). As my finger slowly turned a dial by
the booth's door, the marker of my conscious/subconscious began to
disintegrate via some sort of radio waves. There was both a heavy
pressure and a serene lightness upon me. In the midst of all this, I
knelt down on the floor and looked through the spaces between the
booths' walls and the ground to see the other participants feet melting
into the concrete floor.
