I walked for two hours today, and put more baby sitting flyers in mailboxes. I saw kids climing a tree! A black ink pen was with my clothes in the washing machine. I am happy my dresses were ok, but other articles, weren't as lucky.

I wore the same dress today, and have been wearing that sweater a lot too.

*Lately outside resources have been correlating with my current mental state quite nicely.
I’m not eating chocolate this week. Today I stuck babysitting flyers in the mailboxes of the high end homes across the railroad. I met a rabbi on a playground. I laid down, laid down, with my head on a pillow, and watched Woody Allen’s Manhattan, which brought me back to embracing who I am, and not worrying about who I am not.

Sitting on the way home,
next to a boy she saw in a play,
she faces the window while damp spots appear on her sleeves

Walking home she squints downward
passing landscapers and empty garbage bins
knotted up and pounding

Screen door against her back,
first, second, lock undone
She walks in and faces the beige wall

Damp spots on the wall
She’s uncurled, and there is a candle that is done burning
that she curses
along with the prayers that go with it

WHATSOEVER A MAN SOWETH (1917)
Made in 1917 to prevent Canadian soldiers travelling to World War I catching syphilis and other sexually-transmitted diseases, it tells the story of Dick, a plucky soldier in London.
We see Dick accosted by a prostitute in the street. As they talk another Canadian intervenes and warns Dick away from the woman, giving him the card of a doctor he can visit.
The doctor takes our hero on a tour of hospital wards where he sees the lesions and other unpleasant symptoms that syphilis can cause. Dick realises the ladies of the night are not for him.
But back in Canada, it is revealed that Dick's brother Tom has not been so lucky. The film shows a flashback of Tom being robbed by a prostitute and it becomes apparent that Tom's wife has caught syphilis from him.
Tom is cured of the disease, but when his wife gives birth, the baby is blind.
Watch it here.

1. Stayed at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ (where mirrors are above beds and beds are next to jacuzzis) for Nancy's bachelorette party
2. A choreographer taught us the steps to Beyonce's (Sasha Fierce) "Single Ladies"
3. I actually want to take dance classes now
4. We got elegantly dressed up for a dinner that was in a cafeteria where we presented Nancy with a hand knitted bra and panties, a delicious home made penis cake, and many more panties
5. I had a ton of fun with 34-year-old beautiful, confident women
6. The best brunch I had yet
7. Warmth and sand

Sweet and Lowdown
by Woody Allen
"Emmet Ray is the world's second greatest guitar player. He treats women like dogs, and is damn proud of it. His idea of the perfect date is taking a girl to shoot rats or look at trains at the train station. In fact he was a pimp on the side at one time, or as he likes to call it a "manager". He has a mild case of kleptomania and is an alcoholic. He has no respect whatsoever for his employers. To top all that off he has an ego the size of Denver. Everyone he comes across he let's them know that he is Emmet Ray, the world's greatest guitar player. Well unless you count that gypsy jazz player in Paris, Django Reinhardt. Emmet idolizes Django Reinhardt. When ever he hears his music he goes into tears. Rumor has it that once Emmet was in Europe and saw Django playing at a club, he fainted."
"If you are a student of jazz history, you are aware that Emmet Ray, the subject of Woody Allen’s Sweet and Lowdown, really didn’t exist. But he could have."
...
and I thought Emmet really did exist.

I want Hattie's clothes.
